Poor air quality could be responsible for breathing issues. Here are some tips for protect yourself from unhealthy air!
When pollen count is high avoid exercising outdoors, try walking indoors such as in a mall or gym.
Use less energy in your home. Generating electricity and other sources of energy creates air pollution. By reducing energy use, you can help improve air quality, curb greenhouse gas emissions, encourage energy independence and save money!
Avoid burning wood or trash, this can lead to increased particle pollution like soot in the air.
Tackle the dust in your home, make sure to vacuum at-least once a week.
Try to avoid using scented candles. Air fresheners and most scented candles emit chemicals into the air. Instead, make your own air freshener. Just combine water, lemon slices and rosemary in a small pot and let simmer at a low heat on the stove.
